Consumer Notification Agencies: You authorize the Federal Credit Union of Counties to obtain information about your identity, credit history and other banking history from a consumer reporting agency to provide credit or services. The Credit Union can share your account information with credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report. If you wish, the Credit Union will provide you with the name and address of a credit institution from which it has received a credit report. Types of transactions available: You can use your PIN/Access code on the online banking service to obtain account information on your stock and credit accounts regarding current balances and account history. Dividend rates The YTD dividends and the previous year and the interest paid on each account, as well as the maturity of the certificates. You can also transfer to other shares or current accounts of you or accounts that you authorized in writing prior to such a transfer request, withdraw money from shares/savings and send them by cheque to pay you and send you to your postal address, make sharing/savings credit payments or current accounts on a credit account, apply for a loan or line of credit; Controls of orders and ask for stop payments for cheques on your account. “you” and “you” refers to the member who holds the account with the credit union, as well as all other account owners. “We” or “we” refers to the Federal County Credit Union (CFCU) or “Credit Union”). The CFCU is unique in the world of finance. It is a co-op that belongs to you and your colleagues and is exploited in your common interest, not for profit reasons and exists only to serve you, not to earn money.
As a member of the credit union, you own, operate and control the Credit Union through your board of directors. You have the right to elect and be elected to the volunteer board of directors made up of your colleagues and which manages the Credit Union according to the needs and wishes of the members. The Board of Directors sets interest on dividends, borrowing interest and fees, among other things, and also defines the credit union policy as defined in this membership agreement. In addition, the CFCU works with other credit unions in Maine and the Maine Credit Union League and gathers resources for research and development of low-cost services that benefit not only you and your colleagues, but all members of the Maine credit union. If you communicate to us orally, we may request that you submit your complaint or question in writing within 10 working days. We will provide you with the results of our investigation within 10 (10) days that we have heard from you and will immediately correct any errors. However, if we need more time, we can take up to forty-five (45) days to review your complaint or question. For international transactions, we can take up to ninety (90) days to review your complaint or question. If we decide to do so, we will rearrange your account within 10 business days for the amount you think is a mistake, so that you use the money for the time it takes to complete our investigation. For new accounts, we can take up to twenty (20) days to credit your account for the amount you think is a mistake. If we ask you to file your complaint or question in writing and not receive it within 10 business days, we cannot re-credit your account.
We will send you a written statement within three (3) business days after the end of our investigation.
